EASY POWER AND HANDLING FOR MAXIMUM LIGHTWIND FUN
Available in two, powerful sizes of 6.6m and 7.7m, both are packed with low end grunt to allow for super early planing, while the low drag handling also allows for remarkable levels of comfort at the top end of the wing’s range.
The carefully developed compact planform means that the tips are less likely to catch the water during manoeuvres, allowing for maximum freeride fun, however light the conditions.
Tuned to get you riding and cranking upwind in the lightest winds
-
-
- Compact design for low end torque and control
- Pre-loaded leading edge with optimised sail shaping
- Tight, clean and efficient sail with huge wind range
- Powerful pumping with a very direct, sporty, lightweight feel
- Low-drag aerodynamics give sense of riding a smaller size wing
-
WHAT YOU FEEL
- Very early planing with loads of grunt on tap
- Huge range with less urgency to change down in size when the wind picks up
- Efficient pumping with a very direct feel
- Sporty, lightweight handling
- Very little drag, which really helps with into-the-wind manoeuvres
- Clean and easy management as apparent wind speeds build
WHY YOU FEEL IT
- Compact design for low end torque and control
- Pre-loaded leading edge and optimised sail shaping ensures smooth power generation with control
- The leading edge and strut are made from a performance Dacron that’s 20% lighter than conventional Dacron
- Ergonomically angled, rigid carbon handles with EVA grip
- Soft bumper on front handle mount to protect your board and head
- Knuckle-guard on leading edge de-power/surf handle
- Lightweight anti-flap fibreglass battens reduce canopy flutter on trailing edge
- The Liteforce is ‘Born Light’ with no unnecessary features. Everything has a purpose, and every stitch is perfectly positioned to build genetic strength, removing the need to add unnecessary reinforcements.
HUGE RANGE AND AN UNREAL FEEL FROM A BIG WING
Allowing for excellent aerodynamic performance with a longer lasting shape, the proven supportive structure of the 125g performance dacron on the leading edge and strut helps the Liteforce manage wind speeds beyond the limits these big wings would otherwise have.
Using a performance dacron material that is rigid and strong has allowed our designers to pre-load the leading edge so that its shape will have far less deformation under load. Giving you the confidence to session during periods that the wind may pick up, knowing you will still be able to hold on with more comfort and control.
RIDER GUIDANCE – SHOULD YOU CHOOSE THE 6.6 OR 7.7M LITEFORCE?
While both Liteforce wings have a large overall area, they are specifically designed with a compact planform to make handling and manoeuvring as easy as possible. Here’s some basic guidance to help you choose the right size:
175cm / 5’9’’ OR TALLER?
Riders of this height will have no problem handling either the 6.6 or 7.7m. Their choice will be dictated by how important the extra pure low end power of the 7.7m will be; either enabling them to ride in the absolute lightest possible winds, or to give them more of an advantage if they’re a particularly heavy rider.
BETWEEN 165cm / 5’5’’ AND 175cm / 5’9’’?
We’d recommend the 6.6m. As well as being easier to handle, it will provide more than enough power.
OPTIMISED SAIL SHAPING AND DIRECT CONTROL
The optimised sail shaping and horizontal panels mean that each seam, from strut to tip, creates a stronger line connection in the sail, distributing the load better along the warp of the fabric, reducing canopy stretch over time.
The ergonomic carbon fibre handles with EVA grip provide a super-direct connection for more control in all situations. They also ensure you get every ounce of power from each pump of the wing!
The combination of all these features contribute to the Liteforce’s light and agile feeling and unbeatable range.
CHORD ORIENTED WINDOWS
Two carefully positioned windows running parallel with the chord of the wing on either side of the strut allow you to get a sense of other water users downwind of you while holding the wing at a normal riding angle.
(The windows on the Flow wing are span oriented instead, because riders have more space above the water to move the wing up and down as well as back and forth when using the windows, so a narrower but taller window is best for that wing to offer good visual opportunities at different angles).
The Liteforce windows are sized to offer some visual assistance without considerably impacting the weight, and therefore performance of the wing. We advise riders of any wings to always remain attentive to your surroundings, especially when going for a change in direction. We always recommend to lift the wing overhead to get a totally clear view of the water downwind before making a manoeuvre.
ALL YOU NEED, NOTHING YOU DON’T
Combined with cutting edge manufacturing and the highly skilled craftspeople who apply their experience in our own factory, the Liteforce is born light but genetically strong.
We avoid adding surplus features or unnecessary cosmetic items to our designs and only use top of the line materials put through a rigorous testing programme. To be as efficient in flight as possible we have always believed in designing lightness combined with strength in our paragliders, kites and now wings.
Using a performance dacron material that is rigid and strong has allowed our designers to pre-load the leading edge so that its shape will have far less deformation under load. Giving you the confidence to session during periods that the wind may pick up, knowing you will still be able to hold on with more comfort and control.
COMPARE THE LITEFORCE WITH OZONE’S OTHER BIG WINGS
The Liteforce is for riders who want to score the most riding time possible with the least amount of complication. When you’re able to hit the water in the lightest of winds and hold on for longer, you’ll add many more riding hours to your season while also enjoying the impressive handling agility for such large wings.
Other big wings in the Ozone range include the Fly and the Flux. Here are some comparisons to help you choose the right model for you:
FLY 6 & 7M COMPARISON
The Liteforce is quite similar in profile and shape to the Fly, but is:
- More performance oriented with stiffer and lighter weight dacron material on the leading edge and strut (like the Flux).
- The Liteforce also has rigid carbon handles (the Fly has soft handles), so has a more connected feel, but also offers more hand control, especially when the wind is very light.
FLUX 6.5M COMPARISON
- The Liteforce wings have more pure low end grunt for easy power generation in light winds.
- The Liteforce wings also have less span than the Flux from tip-to-tip which makes it easier to prevent the tips touching the water.
- The Flux is a more performance-inspired design, capable of higher top speeds and tighter upwind riding angles, but will take a more developed technique to pump the Flux for power in very light winds.
